Save this Date ... Upcoming Event in April
Save this date for the 5th Annual Food & Wine Tasting on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. This year we have a NEW LOCATION at the Sterling Hotel Ballroom located at 1300 H St. in Sacramento. This year's event will once again feature some of the Sacramento region's finest restaurants and wineries and a silent auction with an incredible collection of items. There will also be a special scholarship presentation honoring our dear friend Rebecca Cushing. Tickets are $35/each and on sale now. You can purchase tickets by clicking on the Donate button or by contacting us directly.

In Memory of Rebecca Cushing
The John Kerr Foundation has established an annual scholarship in Rebecca's name. We are so grateful to have shared many moments with her at numerous events and activities. The foundation will dearly miss her shining spirit. Rebecca was an amazing person with many skills. She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate studies and obtained her master's degree at Sacramento State. She was an extremely bright person who loved helping people.
After John talked with Rebecca's family, he decided there is no better way to honor her than to give others with Muscular Dystrophy the same opportunity to gain a wonderful education. This scholarship will be available to UC Davis or Sacramento State students with Muscular Dystrophy. The 4th Annual Food & Wine Tasting Event
The 4th Annual Food & Wine Tasting event at Clunie Hall in Sacramento was awesome! We are one step closer to opening our summer camp for children with Muscular Dystrophy. The plan is to open by the summer of 2013 if we stay on track. So, we thank all of you for coming out for this great event. And as always, good times were had by all.

Scholarship Presentation Awarded to Jade Theriault
The John Kerr Foundation proudly presented a scholarship of $1,000.00 to Jade Theriault at a fundraiser event held at the Alameda Yacht Club. Jade will continue to follow her dreams with the aid and generosity of those who care.
