Michelin Star Executive Chef Dinner

One volunteer is needed for our fundraiser dinner at Michelin-Star Localis Restaurant in Midtown Sacramento. We need one volunteer who can assist in outreach coordination, guest-welcoming, and on-site donation management.

Life Development Retreat

August 21–24, 2025

Volunteers are needed for our Life Development Retreat August 21–24, 2025. The Retreat is nestled in the foothills of Yosemite at Tuolumne Trails Campground. During these four days, a select group of young adults (ages 16-22) with Muscular Dystrophy gather to learn valuable life skills, such as; information about Independent Living, Disability Rights and Disability History, Higher Education, Accessible Housing, Financial/Benefits Planning, Employment, Dating and Relationships, Self-Managing Healthcare, and much more! Daily activities, beyond learning sessions, include swimming, adaptive sports, accessible hiking trails, campfires, and teambuilding.

We are currently looking for both male and female volunteers who can assist with the personal care and all daily activities of the attending young adults. Summer camp experience or other types of healthcare experience is preferred, but not necessary. Training will be provided.

Mileage, food, lodging, and a small stipend will be provided for all volunteers.

This incredibly rewarding experience makes it possible for our young adults to experience Independence for the first time and allows them to take away valuable resources needed for a successful entry into adulthood.
